To create a message filter:
Launch Netscape Messenger.
From the Edit menu, choose Message Filters. The Message Filters window will appear.
Choose the New button. The Filter Rules window will appear.
In the Filter Name field, enter a name for the filter.
In the Filter Rules window, select the conditions for your message filter and the action to be taken on filtered messages.
Choose the OK button repeatedly to close all windows.
To deactivate a message filter:
Launch Netscape Messenger.
From the Edit menu, choose Message Filters. The Message Filters window will appear.
Remove the check mark from the right of each filter name that you would like to deactivate.
Choose the OK button.
Note: A deactivated filter has a dot instead of a check mark to the right of its name. To reactivate a filter, click the dot to rest
