Windows 2000 Dial-Up Instructions


1. Right click on My Network Places, then left click on Properties
( If you do not see a My Network Places icon on your desktop go to:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel, and double left click
on Network and Dial up Connections )




2. This will bring you into the Network and Dial up Connections window
( which can also be accessed through the control panel ).You will see
an icon that is labeled Make New Connection. Double left click it.( If
you do not see a Make New Connection icon here go to file and then
left click on New Connection )




3. This will bring you to the Network Connection Wizard. Left click Next.




4. You will now be in the Network Connection Type section. Select Dial-up to the Internet and left click nex.




5. Now select I want to setup my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect
trough a local area network(LAN). Then left click Next.




6. Under How do you connect to the Internet select I connect through a phone line and a modem.
Then left click Next




7. Now enter your dial in access number supplied to you by TNS. After this left click Next.




8. Enter your account user name and password here, then left click Next.




9. Under Connection name: enter TNS and left click Next.




10. You will now be asked if you want to Setup Your Internet Mail Account. Select No and Left click Next.




11. Make sure the box that says To connect to the internet immediately, select this box and then click finish is checked. Then left click Finish.


12. Left click connect to to dial up to the Internet
